WARRANTY
All Hanna Instruments meters are warranted for two years against
defects in workmanship and materials when used for their intended
purpose and maintained according to instructions. The electrodes and
the probes are warranted for a period of six months. This
warranty is limited to repair or replacement free of charge.
Damages due to accident, misuse, tampering or lack of prescribed
maintenance are not covered.
If service is required, contact the dealer from whom you purchased the
instrument. If under warranty, report the model number, date of purchase,
serial number and the nature of the failure. If the repair is not covered by
the warranty, you will be notified of the charges incurred. If the instrument
is to be returned to Hanna Instruments, first obtain a Returned Goods
Authorization Number from the Customer Service department and then
send it with shipment costs prepaid. When shipping any instrument, make
sure it is properly packaged for complete protection.

PRELIMINARY EXAMINATION
Remove the instrument from the packing material and examine
it carefully to make sure that no damage has occurred during
shipment. If there is any damage, notify your Dealer.
The meter is supplied complete with:
• HI 1230B plastic-body, double-junction, gel, combination pH
electrode with BNC and 1 m cable
• HI 7669AW temperature probe with 1 m cable
• Calibration and cleaning solutions sachets
• 9V battery, calibration screwdriver and instructions.
Note: Conserve all packing material until the instrument has
been observed to function correctly. Any defective item
must be returned in its original packing.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
HI 83141 is an hand-held pH/ mV/ temperature meter
designed to be rugged, easy-to-use, reliable and practical.
It is ideal for education and for measurements on the field.
The pH, mV and temperature ranges are easily selected using
the rubber keyboard on the front panel.
Calibration procedure is very simple with clear help messages
displayed on LCD and adjustments are easily made with two
trimmers on the front panel.
With temperature probe connected allows automatic temperature
compensation of pH readings.
Moreover, HI 83141 features a low battery indicator that alerts
the user when the battery needs to be replaced.

4) mV key, to display the mV (ORP) readings when using
an ORP electrode or the mV equivalent to pH values
when using a pH electrode

to select temperature unit while temperature is
displayed
6) OFFSET trimmer for OFFSET calibration of pH
7) SLOPE trimmer for SLOPE calibration of pH
8) CAL key, to enter pH calibration
9) ON/OFF key, to turn the meter ON and OFF
10) Socket for HI 7669AW temperature probe
