EASY DEFROST automatically defrosts all the foods
found in the EASY DEFROST CHART below.
• Suppose you want to defrost a 2.0 pound steak.

Enter weight by touching the number pads 2
and 0. (Ex: 2.0 lb steak.)
Touch START/MINUTE PLUS pad. The oven

NOTE: Check foods when oven signals. After final stage, small sections may still be icy. Let stand to continue
thawing. Do not defrost until all ice crystals are thawed.
Shielding prevents cooking from occurring before the center of the food is defrosted. Use small smooth
strips of aluminum foil to cover edges and thinner sections of the food.

Remove any thawed pieces after each stage. Let stand, covered, for 5 to
10 minutes.

After each stage, rearrange and if there are warm or thawed portions,
shield with small flat pieces of aluminum foil. Remove any meat that is
almost defrosted. Let stand, covered, for 10 to 20 minutes.

Use this pad to defrost rolls, muffins, biscuits, bagels etc. Large items
should be considered as 2 or 3 regular size. Arrange on plate; cover with
paper towel.

Use boneless breast of chicken or turkey. After each stage, if there are
warm or thawed portions, rearrange or remove. Let stand, covered, for 10
to 20 minutes.

Arrange pieces with meatiest portions toward outside of glass dish or
microwave safe rack. After each stage, if there are warm or thawed
portions, rearrange or remove. Let stand, covered, for 10 to 20 minutes.

After defrost cycle ends, let stand, covered.
NOTE:
1. To defrost other food or foods above or below the
weights allowed on the EASY DEFROST CHART,
use time and 30% power.
2. Easy Defrost can be programmed with More or Less
Time Adjustment. Touch the POWER LEVEL pad
once or twice before touching START/MINUTE
PLUS pad.
3. Touch CUSTOM HELP pad when the HELP indica-
tor is lighted in the display for a helpful hint.
4. If you attempt to enter more or less than the
amount as indicated in the chart below, an error mes-
sage will appear in the display.
