Disc Name
Use this to enter a name for the disc. This name
appears when you load the disc and when you display
disc information on-screen.
• The disc name can be up to 32 characters long.
• For discs formatted on a different DVD Recorder, you
will see only a limited character set.

Follow steps 1-3 as shown in DISC Initialize on
page 24.

Use v / V to select the DISC Name option.

Press B to move to the third level.
The Edit icon is highlighted.

Press ENTER.
The Keyboard menu appears.

Enter a name for the disc. Use v / V / b / B to
select a character then press ENTER to confirm
your selection.
• English/Latin Capital: Switches the keyboard to
upper case characters.
• English/Latin Lowercase: Switches the key-
board to lower case characters.
• Symbols: Switches the keyboard to symbols.
• OK: Selects to finish.
• Cancel: Selects to exit the menu.
• Space: Inserts a space at the cursor position.
• Delete: Deletes the previous character at the cur-
sor position.
• b / B: Moves the cursor left and right.

Tip on Remote control buttons for entering a
name
N (PLAY): Inserts a space at the cursor position.
X (PAUSE/STILL): Deletes the character after the
cursor position.
x (STOP), CLEAR: Deletes the character before the
cursor position.
. / >: Moves the cursor left or right.
Numbers (0~9): Enters the corrresponding character
of the selected column.
DISC MENU/LIST, DISPLAY: Switches the keyboard
type (English/Latin Capital, English/Latin
Lowercase, Symbols).

Choose OK then press ENTER to set the name
and return to the DISC menu.

Press SETUP to exit the menu.
