INSTALLING / REMOVING THE TOOLS
WARNING:
Read and understand these instructions
prior to operating this unit.
WARNING:
To avoid serious personal injury and
damage to the unit, shut unit off before removing or
installing tools.
Removing the Hinge Pin:
1.
Shut the unit off and wait for it to stop.
2.
Place the unit on the ground or on a work bench.
3.
Pull the wire loop up off the end of the hinge pin (Fig. 4, A)
4.
Pull the hinge pin out of the tool hole (Fig. 4, B).

Installing the Tool:
WARNING:
To avoid serious personal injury, make
sure the wire loop is securely in place before operating
the unit.
NOTE: This process works for each of the included tools.
1.
Slide the tool sleeve onto the end of the square drive (Fig. 5, A).
2.
Insert the hinge pin into the tool hole (Fig. 5, B).
HOLDING THE UNIT
WARNING:
Dress properly to reduce the risk of injury
when operating this unit. Do not wear loose clothing or
jewelry. Wear eye and ear/hearing protection. Wear
heavy long pants, boots and gloves. Use a full face
shield when needed. Secure hair above shoulder level.
Before operating the unit, stand
in the operating position (Fig. 6).
Check for the following:
• Operator is wearing proper
clothing, such as boots, safety
glasses or goggles, ear/hearing
protection, gloves, long pants
and long sleeve shirt
• If the conditions are dusty,
the operator must wear a
dust mask or face mask
• The unit is in good working
condition
• The tool is in place and
securely attached to the unit
OPERATING TIPS
• Always hold the unit securely
when operating. Keep a firm
grip on both the front and
rear handles.

Push the hinge pin through the tool sleeve until the pin
protrudes out the opposite side of the tool sleeve.
4.
Flip the wire loop over the top of the tool sleeve and secure it over
the end of the protruding hinge pin. The tool is ready for use.

Removing the Tool:
NOTE: This process works for each of the included tools.
1.
Shut the unit off and wait for it to stop.
2.
Place the unit on the ground or on a work bench.
3.
Pull the wire loop up off the end of the hinge pin (Fig. 4, A)
4.
Pull the hinge pin out of the tool hole (Fig. 4, B).
5.
Pull the tool off of the square drive.
• To reduce the risk of hearing loss associated with sound level(s),
hearing protection is required.
• Operate power equipment only at reasonable hours— not early in
the morning or late at night when people might be disturbed.
Comply with times listed in local ordinances. Usual
recommendations are 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through
Saturday.
• To reduce noise levels, limit the number of pieces of equipment
used at any one time.
• To reduce noise levels, operate the unit at the lowest possible
speed to do the job.
• Check your equipment before operation, especially the muffler,
air intakes and air filters.
• Slightly dampen the ground before operating.
