• Do not use charcoal briquettes, lava rocks, or lighter
fluid in this appliance.
• While this appliance is not in use, place under a
cover to protect it from the weather or other adverse
elements.
• While this appliance is not in use, the LP gas must be
turned off at the LP gas supply, and the LP gas supply
cylinder removed from the appliance.
• Storage of this appliance indoors is permissible
only if the LP gas supply cylinder is disconnected
and removed from the appliance. Never move the
appliance with the LP gas supply cylinder installed.
• The use of alcohol, prescription, or non-prescription
drugs may impair the ability to properly assemble or
safely operate the appliance.
• Use only Dometic replacement parts and
components that are specifically approved for use.
NOTICE: The appliance cover must be closed when
the vehicle is in motion.

2 Intended use

The D21 SBC Cooker Outdoor (hereinafter referred to as
"cooktop") is designed and intended for installation and
use outside of a recreational vehicle (RV). This cooktop is
only suitable for the intended purpose and application in
accordance with these instructions.
This manual provides information that is necessary for
proper installation and operation of the cooktop. Poor
installation and/or improper operating or maintenance
will result in unsatisfactory performance and a possible
failure. The manufacturer accepts no liability for any injury
or damage to the product resulting from:
• Incorrect assembly or connection, including excess
voltage
• Incorrect maintenance or use of spare parts
other than original spare parts provided by the
manufacturer
• Alterations to the product without express permission
from the manufacturer
• Use for purposes other than those described in this
manual

3 General information

This section describes the materials for installation.

3 .1 Scope of delivery

Dometic recommends that the following tools and
materials be used while installing the cooktop.
Included Parts
#6 x 3/4 in. screws
Nylon washers
LP gas-certified hose
Seal gasket
AAA battery
Recommended Tools
#2 drive screwdriver

4 Preinstallation

This section describes the installation location
requirements.

4 .1 Determining the location

• The minimum distance between the cooktop and
the ground must be the height of the hob box or
metallic installation stand, plus an additional 11.8 in.
(300 mm).
• Position the cooktop so that no combustible material
can be placed next to the cooktop sides.
