5 Installation

WARNING: Fire and/or explosion hazard .
Failure to obey the following warnings could
result in death or serious injury:
• Do not use matches, candles, or other sources of
ignition to test fittings and LP gas lines for leaks.
• The LP gas line material between the cooktop and the
bottom shield must be rated for a minimum of
300 °F (149 °C) exposure.

1. Insert the seal gasket into the edges of the cooktop.
2. Place the cooktop into the hob box opening so that it
rests on top of the seal gasket.
3. Insert the screws and nylon washers to connect the
cooktop to the hob box.
4. Verify the cooktop is level from side to side and front
to rear.
5. Tighten the screws to secure the cooktop to the
hob box using a #2 screwdriver. Do not over tighten.

LP gas-certified hose

1. Run the LP gas-certified hose from a 20 lb (9 kg)
LP gas supply cylinder to the LP gas connector on the
cooktop.
2. Pull back the quick-connect attached to the end of
the LP gas-certified hose.
3. Position and release the quick-connect onto the
LP gas connector, ensuring the connection is secure.
4. Open the LP gas supply to the cooktop by turning
the LP gas shutoff valve on the LP gas supply cylinder
counterclockwise.
5. Check for leaks using a non-corrosive leak detection
fluid. Leak test pressures in excess of 13.9 in. w.c.
(1/2 psi) of air pressure will invalidate the warranty.
6. After confirming there are no leaks, turn off the LP gas
supply to the cooktop by turning the LP gas shut-off
valve on the LP gas supply cylinder clockwise.
