2.4 imageRUNNER ADVANCE Third Generation Platform Improvements

The imageRUNNER ADVANCE third generation platform has been designed for
advanced functionality, high-reliability, and ease of operation. The third generation
platform enables digital business communications, such as imaging technology,
cloud connectivity, and mobile solutions to seamlessly work together.
The imageRUNNER C7500 Series design improvements are described below.
• The paper drawers and cassettes feature an opening handle, instead of a
push-button to open the drawers.
• The optional Staple Finisher-V2 and Booklet Finisher-V2 support Staple-Free
Staple and Staple On Demand.
- Staple-Free Staple binds the paper together with pressure, which eliminates the
need for metal staples (a consumable item). Up to four (4) sheets (20 lb bond
paper) can be bound using this method. This results in better document
stacking.
- Staple On Demand provides a convenience stapler as part of the finisher.
• The multi-purpose tray has been improved to include automatic size detection.
This eliminates the need to register standard paper sizes when they are placed in
the tray.
• Enhanced paper jam clearance. When a paper jam occurs, the jammed paper is
moved within the device to a more accessible area for removal. This minimizes
paper tears when clearing the paper jam.
• An Installation Navigation Wizard is activated when the machine is first turned
ON. This Wizard guides the user to configure the necessary information and
settings for basic machine operations.
