Replace the Hard Drives on a Rimage 5100 or Rimage 5300N
Install the hard drives
1. Hold a replacement hard drive so that the label on the top of the hard drive faces the front of the system
(5100N) or the power supply (5300N - toward the right when looking at the unit from the rear).
2. Gently insert the hard drive all the way into hard drive bay 0.
Tips:
•
Press on the hard drive, not on the tabs, to insert the hard drive.
•
The hard drive is installed when it snaps into place.
3. Hold the second replacement hard drive so that the label on the top of the hard drive faces the front of the
system (5100N) or the power supply (5300N - toward the right when looking at the unit from the rear).
4. Gently insert the hard drive all the way into hard drive bay 1.
5. Position the left side panel (5100N) or the hard drive cover (5300N) on the unit.
6. Tighten the screws (Qty. 2, 5100N) or the thumb screw (Qty. 1, 5300N) to secure the cover.
7. Connect the power cord.
8. Run the recovery disc(s). Refer to the instructions included with your recovery disc(s).
The system is ready for use.
