Operation

This section describes the basics of fueling, starting, running, steering,
trimming, docking and stopping your boat. Since there is a variety of control
and engine options, be sure to consult the other owner's manuals provided
with your boat.

FUELING

Portable tanks must be removed from the boat when fueling. Consult the
engine operator's manual for proper procedures. Built-in tanks have the fuel
filler aft in the boat. Models with oil injection also have fillers for the oil
reservoir.
Gasoline is extremely flammable and highly explosive under
certain conditions. Always stop the engine and never smoke or
allow open flames or sparks within 15 m (50 ft.) of the fueling
area.
To prevent unwarranted engine damage, consult your engine
operator's manual for manufacturer recommended fuel/oil
ratios and mixing specifications.
