- Page 6 OPERATION Mounting the Head to a Tripod Align the tripod’s 3/8-16 stud with the head’s mounting socket, and hand-tighten the head by rotating it clockwise. Attaching the Quick-Release Plate to a Camera 1. Loosen the quick- release lock, and remove the quick- release plate from the clamp.

- Page 8 OPERATION Operating the Head 1. Turn and hold the spring-loaded quick lock to disengage the gears and rapidly tilt or rotate the camera. 2. Release the locking collar to engage the gears, and use the adjustment knobs to fine-tune the front tilt, lateral tilt, and pan.
- Page 9 OPERATION Front Tilt Knob The front tilt knob controls the camera’s up/down tilt. The head tilts down to 90°, which is good for document and macro photography, and has an upward tilt of 30°. Lateral Tilt Knob The lateral tilt knob controls the camera’s side to side angle.
