the TapeAlert page.

Chapter 3 Media Changer Commands
Mode Sense (6) / (10) Command (1Ah/ 5Ah)
Description
Parameters Savable. When 0, the supported
parameters cannot be saved (savable pages are not
supported). When set to 1, it indicates that the page
can be saved in nonvolatile memory by the media
changer.
This field indicates the number of bytes in the page.
Note that this value does not include bytes 0 and 1.
The length is returned on MODE SENSE and must
subsequently be set to the same value when
performing MODE SELECT.
