DRV884xEVM User's Guide
This document is the user's manual for the DRV8845 and DRV8849 evaluation module (EVM) and the GUI to
control the EVM. The DRV8845EVM allows for control and evaluation of the DRV8845 which is a dual stepper
or four brushed motors driver. The DRV8849EVM allows for the evaluation of DRV8849 which is dual stepper
driver. This manual provides a detailed overview of the hardware features and how to use the included GUI to
control the both DRV8845EVM and DRV8849 EVM.
Hot surfaces on the EVM include the driver device (U5) and the area surrounding it. When operating
the EVM at the maximum device specifications and a high ambient temperature, external cooling
fans may be required to minimize potential fire hazard, personal injury, or both.
