Print a page from the Printer control panel
1. From the Printer control panel, press the Home button. If the Fiery icon does not appear on the Printer control panel, press
the arrow at the lower right.
2. From the Printer control panel, select Fiery > Info > Print Pages > Configuration.
Wait for the Configuration pages to print.
■ Obtain the default password
To log on to the imagePRESS Server as an administrator or operator, you must obtain the Fiery password.
1. Make sure that the imagePRESS Server installation is complete. The imagePRESS Server must be connected to the printer.
2. Make sure that the imagePRESS Server is properly connected to the network.
3. Print the imagePRESS Server Configuration page from the printer control panel.
4. On the Configuration page, look for the ID in the BIOS Setup section. The alphanumeric characters in the ID field is the
default administrator password and operator password for the imagePRESS Server.
5. After you log on to the imagePRESS Server, change the passwords to prevent unauthorized usage. You can use Configure
in WebTools or the Fiery Setup Wizard to change the Fiery password.
WARNING:
If you forget the administrator password, you need to reinstall the Fiery system software.
CAUTION:
The administrator password will be replaced by "Fiery.1" if you:
• Reinstall the Fiery System Software
• Restore the factory default image
• Reset to the factory default
Use "Fiery.1" to log on to the imagePRESS Server and then change the passwords.
■ Command WorkStation
As a imagePRESS Server service technician, you will typically log on to the system as an Administrator.
For more information about using Command WorkStation, see Fiery Command WorkStation Help.
■ About Configure
You can access Configure from Command WorkStation or WebTools. For information about using Configure, see Fiery Command
WorkStation Help.
Access Configure from an Internet browser
1. Start a web browser and access the imagePRESS Server by entering the server name or IP address of the imagePRESS
Server.
NOTE:
As a security measure, WebTools is designed to work only over Hyper Text Transfer Protocol Secure (HTTPS). By default,
WebTools uses a self-signed certificate created by the Fiery. This causes the web browser to display a untrusted certificate
message while accessing WebTools. It is safe to ignore this message and proceed to access WebTools.
2. In WebTools, click the Configure tab on the left side.
3. Log on with Administrator privileges.
Access Configure from Command WorkStation
1. In Command WorkStation, as Administrator, do one of the following:
• In the Server menu tab, click Configure.
• From the SERVERS list, right-click the imagePRESS Server and select Configure.
• In the Device Center > General Info tab, click Configure in the lower right corner.
2. If the Fiery Setup dialog box displays, click Configure.
