Recommended spark plug: F7RTC TORCH
IMPORTANT!
Never use a spark plug that has an incorrect thermal value.
To ensure normal operation of the engine, the spark plug must have the correct distance between the
electrodes and must not be clogged.
WARNING!
Immediately after the engine is turned off, the exhaust muffl er is very hot, so do not touch it.
When replacing the spark plug, use a special spark plug wrench
Visually inspect the spark plug. If it exhibits evident signs of wear or the insulator is cracked, replace it.
Measure the distance of the spark plug's electrodes using a feeler gauge. If necessary, adjust the distance
between the electrodes to 0.70-0.80 mm (fi gure 6).
Check the condition of the spark plug washer and to prevent damaging the thread, fi rst screw the spark plug
in by hand.
After fully screwing in the spark plug, pull it tight using a special spark plug wrench.
Note:
If you are installing a new spark plug, it is necessary to tighten it by another 1/2 revolution to compress the
washer. If you are installing an old spark plug, it is necessary to tighten it by another 1/8-1/4 revolution to
compress the washer.
IMPORTANT!
The spark plug must be correctly tightened because otherwise it would overheat and could damage the
engine.
CHECKING THE AIR FILTER (fi gure 7)
For this task, we recommend that you contact an authorised service centre.
Never operate the engine without an air fi lter installed because this would wear out
the engine faster.
Checking the air fi lter: loosen the fastening spring (fi gure 7 – point 1), remove the cover (fi gure 7 – point 2),
check that there is no dust or foreign objects inside the fi lter insert (fi gure 7 – point 3). Clean the fi lter by gently
tapping it against a hard surface or by blowing it with compressed air from the side of the metal grill. If the fi lter is
torn or otherwise damaged, replace it immediately. Also replace the fi lter if it is heavily soiled.
Never use a brush for cleaning as this would push dust into the structure of the fi lter material.
