If the resistance to ground is to low from the pad:
If the fault still remains, replace D600.
Check the soldering at D600 pins 122, 123 and 128.

Measure the resistance from X824 to D600 pin 123, from X827 to D600 pin 122 and from
X825/X826 to D600 pin 128, (all of them ~0 ohm).

PTT button malfunction
Disassemble the phone and check for liquid damage, especially around X820 andX823.
No further action should be taken for a liquid damaged telephone.
Make sure that the function of the micro switches in the front cover is ok, if not replace the
faulty switch according to mechanical repair guide.

Measure the resistance from the pad X820 and X823 to ground >1 Mohm,
if it is less, go to.8.3.1

If the resistance to ground is to low from pad:
If the fault still remains, replace D600.

Check the soldering at D600 pins 125 and 128.
Measure the resistance from X820 to D600 pin 125, from X823to D600 pin 128
(all of them ~0 ohm).

X824: replace C657 and C687.
X825: replace C658 and C688.
X826: replace C658 and C688.
If any of the resistances are incorrect there is a foil damage, send the unit on according
to the local company directives. If they are all correct, replace D600.
If the resistance is correct, go to 8.3.2
X820: replace C601 and C689.
X823: replace C658 and C688.
If any of the resistances are incorrect there is a foil damage, send the unit on according
to the local company directives.
