3.2 Functional scope
Bypass
The "Bypass" function (Bypass DC Link [V]) is an add-on function of "Black Start" mode (see
section Black start (Page 23)) and is only available in this operating mode.
This function makes it possible to switch off initial voltage monitoring. This allows the energy
storage system to be started independently of the DC link voltage.
Energy measurement
SIMOCRANE ESSM features an operating hours counter and energy meters. The energy balance
(power flow via the SINAMICS DCPs) can be diagnosed locally. The total energy sum and the
energy per direction (charging/discharging) can be measured and differentiated. It is also
possible to start an individual measurement which allows you to read off the infeed and return
energy for each crane movement/shift/day.
