Trouble

start.

accurate 45 or 90
degree cuts.
Blade wanders during
cut.
Saw makes

Blade does not come
up to speed.
Saw vibrates
excessively.

Probable Cause
Saw unplugged.
Fuse blown, or circuit breaker tripped.
Cord damaged.
Table stop not adjusted correctly.
Angle pointer not set accurately.
Miter gauge out of adjustment.
Fence not aligned with blade.
Warped wood.
Excessive feed rate.
Incorrect blade for cut.
Blade tension not set properly.
Guides not set properly.
Dull blade.
Blade mounted wrong.
Gum or pitch on blade.
Incorrect blade for cut.
Gum or pitch on table.
Extension cord too light or too long.
Low shop voltage.
Base on uneven floor.
Loose fasteners.
Check all plug connections.
Replace fuse, or reset circuit breaker.
Replace cord.
Check blade with square and adjust
table stop.
Check blade with square and adjust
pointer.
Adjust miter gauge.
Check and adjust fence (see fence
manual).
Select another piece of wood.
Reduce feed rate.
Change blade to correct type.
Set blade tension according to blade
size.
Adjust guides.
Replace blade.
Teeth should face operator and point
downward.
Remove blade and clean with oven
cleaner or other solvent.
Change blade to correct type.
Clean table.
Replace with adequate size and
length cord.
Contact your local electric company.
Reposition on flat, level surface.
Tighten fasteners.
