d) Uploading the weather data to www.wunderground.com

Operation of the weather station does not require providing the measured data on www.wunderground.com. However,
if you upload your measured data, you can participate in the great weather observation community.
To get the station ID needed for uploading the measured data, use a web browser on a computer to go to the website:
http://www.wunderground.com/members/signup.asp
At the time these operating instructions were drawn up, registration and further use were free of charge
(advertising-financed version).
Observe the current information on the website www.wunderground.com before you register.

13. Range

The transmission range of the radio signals between outdoor sensor and base station is up to 110 m under optimum
conditions.
However, the range values refer to the so-called "free field range". (Range in case of direct sight contact
between transmitter and receiver without any interferences).
In practical operation, however, there are walls, ceilings etc. between the transmitter and the receiver which
reduce the range correspondingly.
Due to the different influences on radio transmission, no specific range can be guaranteed, unfortunately. Usually,
however, operation in a family home is possible without any problems.
The range may be considerably reduced by:
• Walls, reinforced concrete ceilings, plasterboard walls with metal stand construction
• Trees, stones
• Laminated/coated insulating glass panes
• Proximity to metal & conductive objects (e.g. heater)
• Proximity to the human body
• Other devices on the same frequency (e.g. radio headphones, radio speakers)
• Proximity to electrical motors/devices, transformers, mains adapters, computers, cables/lines

14. Battery/Rechargeable Battery Change

The display contrast reduces strongly if the batteries in the base station are weak or flat. A battery icon appears next
to the indoor temperature "
not be lost.
If the measuring interval is set very short, however, it is possible that some measurements cannot be saved
properly due to the scan for the outdoor sensor.
This may also lead to mistakes in evaluation by the PC software.
Proceed as described in
72
". Exchange the batteries for new ones. The measured data remain saved and will
