Solutions
Enable DMA for your operating
system. (See page 24.)
Make sure "PIO Mode4/DMA
Mode2" or "Auto" is enabled in
your motherboard BIOS.
Ensure the authoring software
supports BURN-Proof. If it
supports BURN-Proof, make sure
that BURN-Proof is enabled on
your computer.
If your software does not support
BURN-Proof and you have buffer
underrun problems, reduce the
load on CPU resources. Some
ways to do this are:
S
Log off from the network.
S
Don't use the mouse.
S
Disable the screensaver or
power save mode.
S
Exit all other applications.
CD-R media may be dirty,
scratched or damaged, or may be
of poor quality. Re-write using the
CD-R/RW media recommended by
Plextor. Supported media lists can
also be found on the Plextor web
site at www.plextor.com.
Use the authoring software
provided with the PlexCombo.
If using other software, ensure that
PlexCombo 20/10/40-12A is
supported by the software.
Contact the software supplier to
confirm.
If necessary, enable BURN-Proof
in the recording software.
Increase the PC's main memory
capacity.
