number before you answer.

"softkeys" that provide different options based on activity, the 6392 provides step-by-step

Emergency service feature

The 6392 will provide basic phone service only on Line 1 during a power failure. The phone can
take power directly from the line, however only the dialpad, ringer, and handset will function. Active
calls on power failure may drop. In this case, users should disconnect the call and reconnect once
the phone has switched to line power mode.
