    Slayer Platform Manual BASIC SETUP There are several variables that can be manipulated to fine tune the setup of your suspension. These are some basic guidelines to get you in the ballpark, and you should experiment to see what best suits you from there. The first step is to set your sag. Too much rebound control, and the fork or shock will move too slowly, sinking deeper and deeper into its travel under repeated hits, which will feel harsh. Too little, and the suspension can spring back too quickly, causing a loss of traction and control.

  • Page 12 Slayer Platform Manual RIDE-4 The RIDE-4™ adjustment system allows riders to quickly fi ne-tune their geometry with a single 5-mm Allen key. Four confi gurations are possible thanks to a pair of rotating chips. Geometry setup is a complex art form with huge variables in rider style, preference, terrain and ability. We do recommend the use of professional services, but we also believe that learning to dial in your own bike is the best way to fully understand its performance.
  • Page 13 RM TWO-POSITION AXLE USER MANUAL The 2023 Slayer frame, in both alloy and carbon, is equipped with a 2-position axle dropout. This allows the user to choose a short or long rear- center length that suits their personal preferences. To match the position of the rear axle to the brake caliper, the frame is also equipped with a unique Rocky Mountain brake adapter.
  • Page 14 RM PENALTY BOX INFORMATION (CARBON ONLY) The 2023 Slayer frame, carbon pnly, is equipped with the all-new Penalty Box storage compartment, equipped with a tool and tube wrap. The cover is held by magnets at the top and a tab at the back. To open the compartment, simple pull at the upper left-hand side tab and the cover will pop open.
  • Page 15 MX SWING LINK The Slayer Carbon and Alloy frames are compatible with both a MX (29 front and 27.5 rear) wheel confi guration and a 29 (29 front and rear) wheel confi guration with the simple change of the swing link on the frame.

    Slayer Platform Manual UDH HANGER Your new frame is compatible with Sram’s UDH hanger. Due to the two-position axle design, as well as our axle design, there are three pieces of information to consider for proper UDH function: 1.     Slayer Platform Manual CABLE ROUTING HOW-TO Removing the rear wheel and rear shock will allow you to cycle the rear triangle and give better access to direct the housing in the area between the chain stay and main pivot. Cycling the rear triangle as you push the housing forward also reduces friction as the housing moves through the bottom bracket port.

Vier Konfi gurationen sind mit einem Paar rotierender Chips möglich.   • Page 55 BENUTZERANLEITUNG RM ZWEI-POSITIONS-ACHSE Die Rahmen des 2023 Slayer aus Aluminium und Carbon sind mit einem Ausfallende für 2 Achspositionen ausgestattet. Dadurch kann der Benutzer eine kurze oder lange Kettenstrebenlänge wählen, die seinen persönlichen Präferenzen entspricht. Zur Anpassung der Position der Hinterachse an den Bremssattel ist der Rahmen auch mit einem spezifischen Rocky Mountain Bremsenadapter ausgestattet.
  • Page 56 INFORMATIONEN ZUR RM PENALTY BOX™ (NUR CARBON) Der 2023er Slayer-Rahmen ist, nur in der Carbon-Ausführung, mit dem brandneuen Penalty Box™ Staufach ausgestattet, das ein Tool Wrap für Werkzeug und Ersatzschlauch enthält. Durch das Drehen des hinteren Rahmendreiecks beim Vorschieben der Kabelhülle wird auch die Reibung bei der Bewegung der Kabelhülle durch die Tretlageröffnung verringert.
