08 Controlling other equipment

Controls for TVs

This remote control can control components after entering the proper codes or teaching the receiver the commands
(see Using the remote control with other components on page 54 for more on this). Use the MULTI CONTROL buttons
to select the component.
Button (s) Function
TV Switches the TV, Satellite TV or Cable TV between standby and on.
TV INPUT
Switches the TV input.
TV CH (+/ -)
Selects channels
TV VOL (+/ -) Adjusts the TV volume.
MENU
Takes you to the TV menu of that system.
GUIDE Takes you to the guide menu of that system.
RETURN
Exits the current menu.
A/BLUE
B/Press to switch the DTV ON.
C/GREEN
Use to go to the previous page in a menu.
D/RED
E/YELLOW
Use to go to the next page in a menu.
Use to move back channels.
Use to move back a page in a menu.
Use to move forward channels.
Use to go to the next page in a menu.
Use to show the DTV menu.
Number
Use to select a specific TV channel.

ENTER/
Use this button to immediately enter a new channel.
DISC
&
Press to select or adjust and navigate items on the menu screen.

Note
• The TV CONTROL buttons on the remote control are dedicated to control the TV assigned to the TV CONT button.
Thus if you only have one TV to hook up to this system assign it to the TV CONT MULTI CONTROL button. If you
have two TVs, assign the main TV to the TV CONT button.
• Depending on the maker and individual model, there are some buttons that may not be able operate some equip-
ment or may operate it in a different way.
