▪ Note that improper maintenance, use of non-compliant spare
parts, or removal or modification of safety parts may result in
damage to the unit and serious injury to persons working with
it.
▪ Attention! Local regulations may limit the use of the machine.
▪ Before starting, after dropping down or hitting, always check
the unit and make sure that it is in good condition.
▪ Secure the unit properly during transport to prevent loss of
fuel, damage to the unit and injury.
▪ Before each use, check the unit for loose fastening parts, fuel
leaks and damaged parts, such as cracks in the cutting
attachments.
▪ Keep the chain saw in good operating condition.
▪ Always hold the chain saw by the rear handle with your right
hand and by the front handle with your left hand.
▪ The guide bar and chain may only be adjusted when the
engine is switched off.
▪ Exhaust gas, oil mist (from chain saw lubrication) or saw dust
is harmful to health.
▪ Limit the number of hours of chain saw operation.
▪ Prolonged use of the chain saw exposing the operator to
vibrations may produce white finger disease (Raynaud's
phenomenon) or carpal tunnel syndrome. These conditions
reduce the hand's ability to feel and regulate temperature,
produce numbness and burning sensations and may cause
nerve and circulation damage and tissue necrosis.
▪ All factors which contribute to white finger disease are not
known, but cold weather, smoking and diseases or physical
conditions that affect blood vessels and blood transport, as
well as high vibration levels and long periods of exposure to
vibration are mentioned as factors in the development of white
