6. Install the propeller, shear pin and pro-
peller nut, and then tighten the nut finger
tight. Place a block of wood between the
anti-cavitation plate and propeller to keep
the propeller from turning, and then tight-
en the nut to the specified torque.

9 Do not hold the propeller with your
hands when loosening or tightening it.
9 Be sure to disconnect the battery leads
from the battery and the clip from the
engine stop lanyard switch.
9 Put a block of wood between the anti-
cavitation plate and propeller to keep the
propeller from turning.
NOTE:
If the hole in the propeller nut 5 do not align
with the cotter pin hole, tighten or loosen the
nut until they are aligned.
7. Insert a gear oil tube or gear oil pump into
the drain hole and slowly fill the gear oil
until oil flows out of the check hole and no
air bubbles are visible.

8. Install the check screw and quickly install
the drain screw.
