Description

The Keithley Instruments Model 8680 provides a means of connecting and using RTD probes. It is intended for
use with RTD probes terminated in either a 4-wire instrumentation connector or bare wires to safety input jacks
on a 0.5 inch spacing.
The Model 8680 includes a 4-pin detachable terminal block to allow connection of RTDs with unterminated wire
leads. It also includes a socket that accepts a "T" style 4-pin RTD plug.
To avoid a shock hazard and possible instrument damage, do not use the Model 8680 when
you are measuring voltages that exceed 30 V

Characteristics

Temperature measurement range: −220 °C to 630 °C (−360 °F to 1100 °F) maximum; actual range depends
on RTD
Maximum voltage rating: 30 V
Terminal block wire range: 14-26 AWG wire
Terminal block terminals: Brass, nickel-plated.
Terminal block contacts: Beryllium copper.
The Model 8680 supports the Keithley Instruments Model 8681 Miniature RTD Surface Probe.
