PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION

WARNING
The system does not relieve you of
your responsibility to drive with due
care and attention.
The system reduces fuel consumption
and CO2 emissions by shutting down the
engine when the vehicle is idling, for
example at traffic lights. To obtain
maximum benefit from the system, move
the selector lever to the neutral position
and release the clutch pedal whenever
appropriate. The engine will automatically
restart when the driver presses the clutch
or when required by a vehicle system, for
example to recharge the battery.
