CARD Slot
MIDI IN, OUT and
THRU Connectors
An optional Yamaha FC4 or FC5 footswitch can be connected here for press-
on/release-off sustain control.
The CARD slot accepts Yamaha MCD64 or MCD32 Memory Cards for storage
and retrieval of SY35 voices.
The MIDI IN connector receives the data from a sequencer or other MIDI con-
troller which is to control the SY35. The MIDI THRU connector simply re-
transmits the data received at the MIDI IN connector, allowing convenient
chaining of MIDI devices. The MIDI OUT connector transmits data correspond -
ing to all SY35 performance operations, or bulk data when one of the MIDI voice
data transmission functions are activated.
