Advice
The part „Tow bar", ordering No. ·KODA - EEA 309 001 is intended solely for profes-
sional mounting by the contract partners of ·koda Auto. The mounting requires
the employment of special tooling and Workshop Manuals; because of that, the „Tow
bar" must not be sold to final users in a not mounted state.
The Tow Bar, ordering number EEA 309 001 is intended for coupling trailers to
·KODA OCTAVIA 4x2, OCTAVIA COMBI 4x2 passenger vehicles.

General Information

The equipment passed strength tests according to European directive EHK 55.01. The
tow bar is equipped with the ball pin of 50 mm diameter according to ISO 3853.
The tow bar has been manufactured according to approved documentation and
complies with 55R-01 55377 E8 homologation.

Technical parameters

The tow bar is designed for coupling of:
- braked trailer up to maximum weight of 1500 kg.
- non-braked trailer of maximum weight up to 500 kg.
Max. vertical static load upon the ball journal - 60 kg.
Max. vertical static load upon the ball journal for the vehicles with the engine
1,4 I - 50 kg.
The maximum load of the tow bar varies based on vehicle model, on which the tow bar
is installed. The governing data can be found in the Certificate of Registration of
respective vehicle.

The overall weight of the tow bar - 18.5 kg.
The set of tow bar electric components is not a part of the supply and it must be
ordered separately, depending on required model, under the ordering number:
EEA 092 038 EL or EEA 092 039 EL (with 7-pin socket without or with the contact for
connection of rear fog light of the towed vehicle).
EEA 092 040 EL - (with 13-pin socket).
When installed, it is necessary to cut out the openings at the bottom part of the rear
bumper.
