WARNING
To reduce the risk of serious bodily injury, including
fluid injection and splashing fluid in the eyes or on
the skin, relieve pressure in the handling the filter
or any other part of the system.
To relieve pressure, shut off the sprayer, unplug it
if it is electric, trigger the gun to relieve pressure,
engage the gun safety lever, and open the pressure
drain valve.
INSTALLATION
Relieve pressure. Install the filter between the short,
whip-end hose and the main spray hose as shown in Fig
1.
CLEANING
Relieve pressure. Disconnect the main paint hose from
the sprayer outlet. Grasp the end of the plastic retainer
and pull out the filter. See Fig 1.
Soak the filter in solvent and then scrub it with a fine-
bristled brush. To clean the filter, disconnect it from the
short hose to avoid getting contaminants into the gun. If
necessary, unscrew one of the plastic retainers from the
spring and slide off the filter screen. See Fig 2.
