If the ice machine is to be removed from service for an
extended period or exposed to temperatures of 32°F
or below, follow the procedure for prolonged shutdown and
winterization.
Prolonged shutdown and winterization procedure:
Perform the cleaning and sanitizing procedure on page 7

to prevent mildew growth.
Disconnect electrical power at the circuit breaker or

service panel.
Turn off the water supply.

Remove water from the water reservoir.

Disconnect the incoming water supply line at the rear of
5
the unit and allow it to drain.
Disconnect the vinyl hose from the water pump and
6
allow it to drain.
Verify water is not trapped in any of the water supply or
7
drain lines. Compressed air can be used to blow out the
lines.
Use a spray bottle with a solution of 1 tablespoon
8
sanitizer to 1 gallon
(3.8 L)
surfaces. Do not rinse, allow it to air dry.
Block the door partially open to provide air exchange
9
and prevent mildew growth.
