Remove Mower Drive Belt
1. Loosen but DO NOT remove hardware
securing right belt cover to frame and
remove belt cover. Retain for
reinstallation. See Figure 33.

WARNING: Use care when
releasing idler spring tension.
Keep body parts away from
idlers when performing this
operation.
See Figure 34.
2. Insert 1/2" drive breaker bar in 1/2"
square hole in idler arm. Pull breaker bar
counter-clockwise to release tension from
belt.
3. Slowly remove spring hook from anchor
bolt to release tension from idler pulley.

idler arm and rotate idler arm.
4. Remove mower drive belt from split
pulley.
