Getting started

Thank you for purchasing this TOPCOM product. This product has been designed and assembled with utmost care for you and the environment. Because we at TOPCOM like to think of the future of our planet and our children, we aim to do our best to help saving the environment. In this short manual provided with your TOPCOM device you can find a brief explanation of how to install and use your TOPCOM device. Battery installation

1. Remove the belt clip.
2. Pull the battery cover tab and gently remove the battery cover.
3. Install 3 'AAA' batteries following the polarity as shown.
4. Re-install the battery cover and belt clip.

Dispose of used batteries according to the instructions.

Charging batteries (only RC-6411)

1. Put the desktop charger on a flat surface.
2. Plug the supplied adapter into the electric socket. Pay attention to the mentioned voltage and compare this with the indications of the power supply. Connect the low tension plug at the end of the cable with the connector at the backside of the desktop charger.
   The unit must be installed near to a poweroutlet that is easy accessable to the user to switch on/off the device!
3. Put the PMR in the charger.
4. The charging LED will turn on if it's properly inserted and charging. It will take aout 12 to 14 hours to fully charge the batteries. There is no indication on the display when the batteries are being charged.

For RC-6411, only use the supplied rechargeable NiMH batteries. Never use alkaline batteries!
Risk of explosion if battery is replaced by an incorrect type.

LCD display information

1. "TX" Displayed when transmitting a signal
2. Battery charge level indication
3. "RX" Dispayed when receiving a signal
4. "CH" Displayed in channel selection mode
5. "LE" Displayed in volume selection mode

Using the Twintalker

Turning the unit on/off

To turn on:

• Press and hold the -button for 3 seconds. The unit will "beep" and the LCD display will display the current channel.

To switch off:

• Press and hold the -button for 3 seconds. The unit will "beep" and the LCD display will turn blank.

Adjusting Speaker volume

There are 8 levels of speaker volume

• Press the button in stand-by-mode to increase the speaker volume. The volume level is displayed.
• Press the button to decrease the speaker volume.

Receiving a signal

The unit is continuously in the receive mode when the unit is switched on and not transmitting..

Transmitting a signal

• Press and hold the PTT-button to transmit. TX will appear on the display.
• Hold the unit in a vertical position with the microphone 10 cm from the mouth and speak into the microphone.
• Release the PTT-button when you want to stop transmitting.

Changing channels

• Press the -buttonthe current channel wil blink.
• Use the - or button to change the channel.
• Press the -button to confirm

Sending a call Tone

• Press briefly. The call tone will be transmitted for 3 seconds on the set channel.

This product is guaranteed for 24 months granted. Your warranty is valid if the product is used in accordance to the instructions and for the purpose for which it was created. In addition, the original purchase (invoice, sales slip or receipt) is to be submitted with the date of purchase, the name of the retailer and the item number of the product.
