1. INSTALLING THE PHONE
Plug one end of the spiral cord into the handset and the other under
l
the phone ( ).
Plug the telephone cable into the connector located under the phone
l
and plug the telephone jack into the wall socket ( ).
2. WALL MOUNTING
Extract the tab located on the top of the phone base, just under the cradle
switch, from its housing (small plastic part), then reinsert it upside down.
Place the cable in the slot underneath the base.
Drill two horizontal holes 70 mm apart. Insert two wall plugs then screw
in wood screws (diameter: 3 mm, length: 25 mm) without tightening them.
Hang the phone on the screws.
3. GENERAL USE
The TEMPORIS 16 and TEMPORIS 26 telephones are designed to
transmit and receive telephone calls and be connected to public and private
telephone networks.
To clean your phone, use a lightly moistened antistatic cloth.
You can choose between two ways of dialling:
- dialling after lifting the handset,
- dialling in on-hook mode.
3.1 DIALLING IN ON-HOOK MODE*

Pick up the handset to set up the conversation.

3.2 HANDS-FREE KEY*
During a call, press
so that the people near you can take part in
the conversation.
Adjust the volume with the slide switch located on the right of the phone.

4. USING THE MEMORIES
Your telephone set can record thirteen 16-digit numbers, 3 of which may
be direct access numbers.
4.1 PROGRAMMING THE MEMORIES

4.3 MODIFYING A MEMORY

5. ADJUSTING THE RINGING VOLUME
You can adjust the ringing volume when your telephone is ringing.
To reduce or increase the volume, move the slide switch on the right

side to one of the 3 positions:

average volume,

maximum volume.

6. CONFIGURATION FOR PROFESSIONAL USE
If your TEMPORIS 16 / 26 is directly connected to the public network,
this chapter does not concern you.
6.1 MODIFYING THE FLASH TIME
Before you do anything else, disconnect the telephone line cable.
Remove the black label located under the phone.

By default, the flash time is 300 ms.
To modify it, move the mini-switch with the tip of a ballpoint until it

points to the flash time you want.

6.2 MODIFYING THE TYPE OF DIALLING
By default, your telephone uses voice frequency (TONE) dialling.
To switch it to pulse dialling, move the mini-switch with the tip of a

ballpoint until it points to PULSE.

European regulations, as attested by the CE mark.
You are covered by a legal warranty on these products; for all information
concerning this warranty, please contact your reseller.
Regardless of the legal warranty covering the product, the reseller
guarantees conformity of the products with their technical specifications
for a period of twelve (12) months, parts and labour, starting from the date
appearing on the proof of purchase of the product. You should therefore
retain your invoice or till receipt specifying the date of purchase of the
product and the name of the reseller. However, if the legal warranty
applicable in your country exceeds twelve (12) months, then the legal
warranty alone applies. The non-conforming part or product will be
repaired or replaced free of charge, by an identical part or product,
or one at least equivalent in terms of functionality and performance.
If it proves impossible to repair or replace the item, the product will
be reimbursed.
The spare product or part, which may be either new or reconditioned, is
guaranteed either for three months from the date of repair or until the end
of the initial warranty period, whichever is the longer. All parts or products
returned and replaced become the property of the manufacturer.
However, this warranty does not apply in the following cases:
- installation or use in a way that fails to comply with the instructions
contained in this guide;
- incorrect connection or non-standard use of the product, notably with
accessories not designed for the purpose;
- devices subjected to shocks or falls;
- devices damaged by lightning, voltage surge, heat sources or radiation
therefrom, water, exposure to excessive humidity, or any other cause
external to the product itself;
- normal wear and tear;
- negligence or poor maintenance;
- failure to comply with the technical and safety standards prevailing in
the state or country of use
- maintenance, modification or repair of the product by persons not
authorised by the manufacturer or reseller;
SUBJECT TO LEGAL PROVISIONS, ALL WARRANTIES OTHER THAN
THOSE DESCRIBED HEREIN ARE EXPRESSLY EXCLUDED.
8. CUSTOMER SERVICE
The shop from which you bought this telephone can give you information
and provide you with after-sales service.
9. TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS -
DECLARATION OF CONFORMITY
The TEMPORIS 16 and 26 are designed for connection to a TNV3-class
analogue telephone line as defined by the EN 60950 standard.
Thomson Telecom hereby declares that the TEMPORIS 16 and the
TEMPORIS 26 conform to the essential requirements and other applicable
provisions of European directive 1999/5/CE. The certificate of conformity
will be sent on request.
