Alignment
Set the horizontal position of the superimposed text.
Transparent
Select the background color transparent of the
superimposed text. When you select Off, transparent is
not available.
Font size
You can select the font size of the superimposed text and
set the font size for Image 1, 2, and 3 separately.
If Auto is selected, the font size is adjusted to suit the
image size of the image number.
Events displayed
Displays in the menu when the type is set to Event.
Select the type of superimpose to be displayed for the
event.
OK/Cancel
See "Buttons common to every menu" on page 23.
Day/Night Tab
Use this tab to set the day/night function of the camera.
Mode
Select the day/night mode. This function has the
following modes.
Auto: Normally works in day mode; switches
automatically to night mode in a dark place.
Sync with IR Illuminator
Supported models: SNC-VB632D/VB642D/
VM632R/VM602R/VM642R/EB632R/EB642R/
EM632R/EM602R/EM642R/EB602R
On: The irradiator works in conjunction with day/
night switching.
Off: Deactivate the irradiator.
IR Illuminator level
Supported models: SNC-VB632D/VB642D/
VM632R/VM602R/VM642R/EB632R/EB642R/
EM632R/EM602R/EM642R/EB602R
This setting is available when Sync with IR
Illuminator is set to On.
Set the infrared intensity of the irradiator.

Note
When the IR illuminator is used, close-up objects in
images may have blown out highlights. If you want
to avoid blown out highlights, select Wide
dynamic range (View-DR) in the Video/Audio
menu or Video menu.
Threshold
Set the brightness level when the night mode is set.

EM642R/EB602R, this setting is available when
Sync with IR Illuminator is set to Off.
Brightness threshold

This setting is available when Sync with IR
Illuminator is set to On.
Set the brightness level when the night mode is set.
Hold time
Set the reaction time of changes in brightness.
Manual: Switch the day/night mode manually.
When the checkbox of the night mode is selected, the
camera works in night mode. Otherwise, the camera
works in day mode.
Timer: Normally the camera works in day mode. It
switches to night mode at the time you set in Timer
of Day/Night in the Schedule menu.
Sensor input:
Supported models: SNC-VB635/VB630/VB600/
VB600B/VB632D/VB640/VB642D/VM630/
VM600/VM600B/VM631/VM601/VM601B/
VM632R/VM602R/VM641/VM642R/XM631
Controls the day/night mode by synchronizing it
with the sensor input.
Select the synchronized sensor from Sensor input 1
and Sensor input 2. While a sensor input is detected,
the camera works in night mode. (Only Sensor input
1 is available for SNC-XM631.)
Status
Displays the day/night function status.
Easy Focus
If you check Day/Night Sync, Easy Focus will operate
together with Day/Night switching, and the focus will
be automatically adjusted.
