5.11.2 Car Seat use of Fixed Back Shoulder Position.

-Low Birthweight Harness Routing

• ONLY use this position if the child's shoulder
are below the lowest position of the adjustable
seat back (Fig. 31-1).
• The fixed seat back of this Car Seat features
one height adjustment for the harness straps
for Low Birthweight children.
• The harness straps must be used in the fixed
back position with the straps even with or just
below your child's shoulders.
The harness straps are adjusted as follows:
1. After verifying that your child's shoulders are
below the lowest adjustable back position by
placing your child in the Car Seat such that
your child's bottom is all the way to the rear
and bottom of the seat (Fig. 31-1).
2. Remove child from Car Seat.
3. Remove the Car Seat from the Base and
rotate the Carry Handle to the rebound, carry
or storage position.

4. Loosen the Harness Straps by
depressing the Harness Adjuster
Button located below the flap just
ahead of the Harness Buckle and
pulling on the harness straps
(Fig. 32-1).
5. Move adjustable seat back to the
top position by pressing the blue
button and pull up (Fig. 32-2).
6. Turn the seat over. Locate the Metal
Adjuster Plate near the bottom
of the seat (Fig. 32-3). Remove
both Harness Straps from the Belt
Adjuster Plate.
