In the following drawing, the user is tapping the Color Mode button
while in Easy mode. After selecting Advanced on the Mode menu, the
resulting screen is in Advanced mode.

3.2 Basic operations

When you power up Compact 8, Live view is the default. You remain in
Live view until you take a snapshot. You are in Snapshot view until you
close the snapshot by tapping the X in the top right corner of the
screen.
Tip: If you are unsure whether you are in Live view, tap the screen to
display the button bars. If an X button is at the top right, you are in a
snapshot. To return to live view, tap the X.
