Connecting the speakers
For safety reasons, do not turn on any devices or
components until you have completed all wiring procedures.
I Connecting the speakers D-120 and D-120C
CAUTION:
The HTP-120 is designed for the Onkyo DVD Receiver DR-
S2.2. Do not connect other amplifiers as it may cause speaker
damage.

Before connecting
Prepare the supplied speaker cables as shown below.
Strip off the end
of he speaker
cable insulation.
Insert the cable with a
colored line to the
negative (–) terminal.
Push down
the lever.

Twist together the
exposed wires
strands.
Insert the
exposed wire
into the hole.
Connecting to the speaker terminals
• Connect the input terminals on the rear of the speakers to
the speaker output terminals on the DR-S2.2 using the
supplied speaker cables as shown in the diagram to the
left.
Notes:
• Make sure that the positive (+)
and negative (–) speaker cables
do not contact each other. If they
do, a short-circuit may occur,
causing damage to the amplifier.

• Be sure to connect the speaker cables with the correct
polarity (+ and – ) and with the proper left-right speaker
orientation. If connected incorrectly, the resulting sound
space will sound unnatural.
• Pull the speaker cable lightly to ensure that it is connected
firmly.
I Connecting the subwoofer SKW-120
Connect the SUB WOOFER PREOUT jack on the DR-S2.2 to
the subwoofer rear panel using the supplied audio connection
cable as shown in the diagram below.
