Install the unit with the supplied
mounting screws.

Cautions
• Since t he unit is quit e heavy, be caref ul w hen
inst alling t he unit .
• Hold t he unit horizont ally w hen inst alling it ,
since t he disc t ray may open if t he unit is shaken.
• To reduce t he risk of f ire, do not place any
heat ing or cooking appliance beneat h t his unit .
• Inst all t he unit so t hat it s AC pow er cord can be
connect ed direct ly t o a w all out let . Do not use a
convert er or ext ension cord.
• Be sure t hat t he AC pow er cord has no slack
w hen using t he unit , since t he cord act s as an FM
w ire ant enna. If t he AC pow er cord has some
slack, w ind up t he slack on t he cord hook.
• The unit has a built -in f errit e bar ant enna f or AM
radio recept ion. Check t he condit ion of AM
recept ion bef ore f ixing in posit ion.
• Inst all t he unit as f ar as possible f rom a source of
noise (f or example, ref rigerat or, microw ave
oven, f luorescent lamp, et c.).

Set t ing t he Clock

Plug in the unit.
"AM 12:00" will flash in the Clock Display
Window.

Press CLOCK for a few seconds.
You will hear a beep and the hour digits
will start to flash in the Clock Display
Window.

Press RADIO TUNE/TIM E SET –, m(f ast
reverse) or +, M(f ast f orw ard) until
the correct hour appears in the Clock
Display Window.

Press CLOCK (or ENTER) once.
The minute digits will flash.

Press RADIO TUNE/TIM E SET –, m(f ast
reverse) or +, M(f ast f orw ard) until
the correct minute appears in the Clock
Display Window.

Press CLOCK (or ENTER) once.
You will hear two short beeps and the
seconds start counting from zero.
Tips
• To set t he current t ime rapidly, hold dow n
RADIO TUNE/TIM E SET –, m(f ast reverse) or +,
M(f ast f orw ard).
• To set t he current t ime exact ly t o t he seconds,
adjust t he minut e f unct ion in st ep 6 and t hen
press CLOCK (or ENTER ) t o synchronize it w it h a
t ime signal (such as t he t elephone t ime signal).
• In t he 12-hour syst em: " AM 12:00" = midnight .
