Warranty
Your user manual is also your warranty form. Fill in the relevant information on page five and keep this user manual
carefully.
9.1
Warranty application
You have a legal warranty on your scooter. However, it is also possible that your supplier has offered an additional
warranty. However, in this user guide we only discuss the manufacturer's warranty provided by Excel Mobility.
The manufacturer's warranty is only granted to you as a consumer. Commercial use of the warranty (such as for rental
or institutional use) is prohibited. The warranty is limited to defective materials and any hidden defects. Excel Mobility
guarantees you the following warranty periods for your
Excel Outback:
Warranty period for whole product: 2 years;
Warranty period batteries and charger: 6 months.
9.2
Warranty conditions
The warranty period starts on the date of purchase of your scooter. If your scooter breaks down within the warranty
period, it will be repaired or replaced. However, you must be able to provide Excel Mobility with a fully completed
Warranty Registration Card or a copy of the invoice with the date of purchase. Without a Warranty Registration Card or
proof of date of purchase, the warranty will begin on the date Excel Mobility has sent the invoice to the dealer.
Repairs and replacements will be performed at an authorised Excel Mobility dealer. To qualify for the warranty, your
scooter must meet the required care. Furthermore, if a problem occurs, you must immediately notify the relevant
Excel Mobility dealer and fully inform them of the nature of the problem. If you use the scooter outside the area of
the designated Excel Mobility dealer who must perform the warranty, the work can be performed at any other dealer
designated by the factory.
If a part of the scooter that falls within the warranty period requires repair or replacement, due to a manufacturing or
material defect, and the scooter is in the possession of the first owner, the relevant part or parts, free of charge repaired
or replaced at the authorised dealer.
However, the warranty does not include labour costs incurred in replacement/repair. Any replaced or repaired part is
covered by the same warranty conditions as the entire scooter. Wear parts are normally not covered by the warranty
unless these parts show wear as a direct result of a manufacturing defect.
Under normal circumstances, Excel Mobility accepts no responsibility if the scooter needs to be replaced or repaired as
a result of:
Failure to maintain the scooter and its parts in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations, or to use
specified original parts;
Damage to the scooter or its parts through negligence, accident or misuse;
Modification of the scooter or its parts, other than factory specifications, or repairs made before the service agent
has been notified;
If the product does not have an original factory frame label, see chapter 1.
The scooter described and shown in this user manual may differ in details from your own model. However, all
instructions are relevant, regardless of which details are different. We reserve the right to make changes in weight, size or
other technical data as described in this user manual without notice. All drawings, dimensions and capacities shown in
this user manual are approximate and may not be in full accordance with the specifications given.
