Required Tools
A #2 Phillips-head screwdriver is needed to install the SDG-ST1 Fiber Tray.
Installing the Fiber Tray
To install the SDG-ST1 Fiber Tray, complete the following steps:
1. Select the unit on which the fiber tray is to be installed and rotate the SDG onto its side so that the bottom of the unit is visible.
2. If a fiber cable is plugged into the connector on the bottom of the SDG, disconnect the fiber cable from the connector. Use caution when handling the
fiber optic connector as to not contaminate the fiber and impair performance.
3. Use the #2 Phillips-head screwdriver to remove the two screws on the bottom of the unit.
4. Position the fiber tray with the narrower end facing up and the cable tabs facing you. Wrap the fiber cable counter-clockwise inside of the tray,
guiding the cable through the plastic tabs as shown in
f
CAUTION!
When routing the fiber cable, be careful not to bend sharply or kink the cable as this may damage the fiber.
