❏ For Windows, select Quality Options for the Print Quality in
the Main menu. In the Quality Options dialog box, move the
slider towards Speed to increase print speed. See the online
help for more information.
For Mac OS X, select Automatic mode and move the slider
towards Speed in the Print Settings selected in the Print
dialog to increase print speed. See the online help for more
information.
❏ Do not run too many applications at the same time. Close any
applications you are not using.
❏ Change the interface of your computer to USB 2.0.
❏ Delete unnecessary files to make room on your hard disk
drive.
Roll paper cannot be cut
Try one or more of these solutions:
❏ Make sure that paper cutter cover is set correctly. See
"Replacing the Paper Cutter" on page 240.
❏ Make sure that the Roll Auto Cut On
Paper Source on the LCD panel. Press the Paper Source
button if necessary. Then press and hold the Paper Source
button for 3 seconds. The printer cuts the roll paper.
❏ Make sure that Normal Cut, Single Cut, or Double Cut is
selected as the Auto Cut in the printer driver. See "Roll paper
cut for borderless printing" on page 97.
