INSTRUMENT PANEL: warning lights
The presence and operation of the warning and indicator lights described below DEPEND ON THE EQUIPMENT AND THE
COUNTRY.

Coolant temperature warn-
ing light
If it shows a steady light, stop and let
the engine idle for a minute or two. The
temperature should lower and the warn-
ing light should go out. Let the engine
cool down before checking the coolant.
Contact a RENAULT Dealer.

Toxic Fume Filter System
Warning Light
For vehicles equipped with this option,
the light comes on when the ignition is
switched on then goes out.
If it lights up continuously, consult your
RENAULT Dealer as soon as possible.
If it flashes, reduce the engine speed
until the light stops flashing.
Contact your RENAULT Dealer as soon
as possible.
Refer to the information on "Antipollution,
fuel economy and driving" in Section 2.

Air bag warning light
This lights up when the ignition
is switched on and goes out after a few
seconds.
If it remains lit or comes on when the
engine is running, it indicates a system
fault.
Contact your RENAULT Dealer as soon
as possible.

Anti-lock braking warning
light
This lights up when the ignition is
switched on and goes out after a few
seconds.
If it does not go out when the ignition is
switched on, or lights up when driving,
there is a fault with the ABS.
Braking will then be as normal, without
the ABS.
Contact your RENAULT Dealer as soon
as possible.
