1 Zweckbestimmung
Der C-MAC ® S Videolaryngoskopspatel zum
Einmalgebrauch dient in Verbindung mit dem C-MAC
Pädiatrie IMAGER und dem C-MAC ® Monitor zur
endotrachealen Intubation und zur Inspektion des
Mund-Rachenraumes. Videolaryngoskope sind zur
vorübergehenden Anwendung bei natürlich invasiven
Eingriffen bestimmt.
2 Anwendungsbereich
• Anästhesie
• Notfallmedizin
1 hINWEIS: Das Produkt ist unsteril.
1 hINWEIS: Das Produkt ist einzeln in
Schutzverpackungen verpackt und zum
einmaligen Gebrauch an einem einzigen
Patienten bestimmt. Ansonsten besteht die
Gefahr einer Kreuzkontamination.
3 Indikationen
Der Einsatz von Videolaryngoskopen ist indiziert, wenn
aus Sicht des behandelnden Arztes eine Inspektion
des Mund-Rachenraumes (Larynx, Pharynx) oder eine
endotracheale Intubation indiziert ist.

skopspatel eingesetzt werden soll, liegt in der
Verantwortung des behandelnden Arztes.
4 Kontraindikationen
Die Verwendung der Videolaryngoskope gilt
als kontraindiziert, wenn nach Meinung eines
verantwortlichen Arztes eine solche Anwendung
eine Gefährdung des Patienten hervorrufen würde,
z. B. aufgrund des Allgemeinzustandes des Patienten,
oder die Laryngoskopie als solche kontraindiziert ist.
5 Patientenpopulation
Kinder und Säuglinge.

Patienten das Produkt eingesetzt wird, liegt beim
behandelnden Arzt.
6 Zielgruppen
Diese Gebrauchsanweisung ist für Ärzte, medizinisches

1 Intended use
The C-MAC ® S video laryngoscope blade for single use
® S is used in combination with the C-MAC ® S Pediatric
IMAGER and the C-MAC ® Monitor for endotracheal
intubation and inspection of the oropharynx. Video
laryngoscopes are designed for transient use in invasive
procedures through a body orifice.

1 NOTE: The product is packaged individually in
protective packaging and is intended for single use
on a single patient. Otherwise, there is a risk of
cross-contamination.
3 Indications
The use of video laryngoscopes is indicated if, in the
opinion of the attending physician, inspection of the
oropharynx (larynx, pharynx) or endotracheal intubation
is indicated.
1 NOTE: The attending physician is responsible
for deciding upon the indications for which the
C-MAC ® S video laryngoscope blade should be
used.
4 Contraindications
The use of video laryngoscopes is contraindicated if, in
the opinion of a responsible physician, the health of the
patient is endangered through its use, e.g., due to the
patient's general condition, or if laryngoscopy as such is
contraindicated.
5 Patient population
Children and infants.
1 NOTE: The attending physician decides which
patients to use the product on.
6 Target groups
This instruction manual is intended for physicians,
medical support staff and sterilization assistants.

1 Uso previsto
La espátula del videolaringoscopio C-MAC ® S para un
solo uso, en combinación con el C-MAC ® S IMAGER
pediátrico y el monitor C-MAC ® , sirve para la intubación
endotraqueal y la exploración orofaríngea. Los
videolaringoscopios están previstos para aplicaciones
transitorias en intervenciones quirúrgicas invasivas a
través de orificios naturales.
2 Ámbito de aplicación

1 NOTA: El producto no está esterilizado.
1 NOTA: El producto se suministra en un embalaje
protector individual y está previsto para un solo
uso en un único paciente. En caso contrario,
existe riesgo de contaminación cruzada.
3 Indicaciones
La utilización de videolaringoscopios está indicada cuando,
según la opinión del médico encargado del tratamiento,
está indicada una exploración de la región orofaríngea
(laringe, faringe) o una intubación endotraqueal.
1 NOTA: El médico encargado del tratamiento es
el responsable de decidir en qué indicaciones ha
de utilizarse la espátula del videolaringoscopio
C-MAC ® S.
4 Contraindicaciones
La utilización de videolaringoscopios está contraindicada
cuando, según la opinión del médico responsable, una
aplicación de este tipo pueda representar un peligro para
el paciente, p. ej., debido al estado general del paciente,
o cuando la laringoscopia en sí esté contraindicada.
5 Población de pacientes
Niños y lactantes.
1 NOTA: El médico encargado del tratamiento
decide en qué pacientes ha de aplicarse el
producto.
6 Grupos objetivo
Este Manual de instrucciones está destinado a médicos,
asistentes sanitarios y auxiliares de esterilización.
