    2 Normal use 2.1 Intended use The KARL STORZ AIDA C is intended for use by qualified personnel in the doctor's office and operation rooms. The KARL STORZ AIDA C is an appliance (comprising hardware and software) for the documentation of audiovisual data and patient data during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.

    6.1.7 User management The User Management module is used to assign certain access rights to individual groups of people. KARL STORZ recommends making settings here to optimize your IT security. Open Windows Computer Management to create new users. 6.1.7.1 Role management The Role Management tab is used to manage the individual groups.

    Only settings without an orange or light blue marking can be assigned to a group profile. The profile service is updated every 5 minutes. KARL STORZ recommends configuring settings on one device at a time to avoid overwriting the settings.

    Installation and commissioning 6.4.1 KARL STORZ AIDA Secure The system is delivered with KARL STORZ AIDA C Secure (SE46 Local Whitelist Manager) as standard. This security software can be used to install software and hardware in Service Mode. The software uses the whitelist approach. Only approved, certified software can be run on the system.
