Nautica (Nautica Routers only)

RFC1490 (frame relay)

118814-D Rev. 00
Nautica paths are used when communicating between Nautica
routers only.
When creating paths to remote Nautica routers, most of the
information on the path is learned by the router automatically
during the first call. Nautica paths also allow extra security.
For details on Nautica path parameters, refer to
Note:
Nautica paths are not available on the Nautica 200.
If the remote router supports frame relay, a frame relay path can
be created to communicate with this router.
Nautica Wizard does not support all the parameters normally
associated with frame relay, but it does allow you to set up frame
relay paths.
To define frame relay in more detail, it is necessary to use the
router software, BCC.
For more information on frame relay paths, refer to
Note:
frame relay can only be set-up on synchronous WAN
ports
(Chapter
8).
