Indicator Lights

Control Enclosure

There is a green LED power indicator on the
bottom of the control enclosure as shown
in Figure 25. This indicates whether there is
power feeding the control enclosure properly.
The indicator stays lit when there is power;
otherwise, it will be off.

Audio Control Rack

Refer to the troubleshooting section of a specific audio control rack manual for more
information about the indicator lights that show signal output to the audio cabinet.

Fiber Conversion Box

Within the fiber conversion box, if included, indicator lights on the equipment help verify
proper connection with the sound cabinet.
Possible Cause
Poor source material (CD or
MP3 with heavy compression
or distorted material)
Clipping audio at source
(audio control rack) output
Bad driver or amplifier
Bad fiber connection
Amplifier modules are over
driven into protect mode
Bad amplifier module
Analog to Digital Converter (in
fiber box) failure
Low level (-20dB)
(ANALOG BACKUP enabled)

Troubleshooting

Solution/Items to Check
Use high quality audio files
(.wav).
Bring source level down below
clip.
Replace driver or amplifier.
Set the fiber box ANALOG
BACKUP switch to ANALOG
and see if problem goes away.
Reduce source output level.
Replace amplifier.
Replace analog to digital
converter.
Increase source output level
above -20dB.
Disconnect ground at
isolation transformer in the
control enclosure. Refer to
Audio System Humming
