IGNITION SWITCH/STEERING
LOCK
Keys
You receive 2 vehicle keys.
If a key is lost or mislaid, con-
sult the notes on the electronic
immobiliser (EWS) (

Ignition switch/steering lock,

fuel filler cap lock and lock for
the tail-hump cover are all op-
erated with the same key.
Engaging steering lock
Turn the handlebars all the
way to the left.
Turn the ignition key to po-
sition 1, while moving the
handlebars slightly.
Ignition, lights and all function
circuits switched off.
Steering lock engaged.
Vehicle key can be removed.
Switching on ignition

Turn the ignition key to posi-
tion 1.
Side lights and all function
circuits switched on.
Engine can be started.
Pre-Ride-Check is performed.

Switching off ignition
Turn the ignition key to posi-
tion 1.
Lights switched off.
Handlebars not locked.
Vehicle key can be removed.
