1. Charge the speaker by connecting it to a USB power source (min. 500mA) using the micro- USB charging cable. During charging (approx. 3.5 hours), the LED will glow red. Please be aware that the initial charge may take a little longer. As soon as the LED goes out, the charging process is complete and you can disconnect the cable.
   
   
2. Switch the speaker 'ON' – you will hear a musical tone and the front LED will flash blue.
   
   
3. Start the connection process by keeping the speaker's Play button held depressed for around three seconds. To confirm it is ready to pair, the LED will start flashing alternating between blue and red.
4. Pair your smartphone or tablet to the speaker ('SPEEDLINK GEOVIS') via Bluetooth ®. This process differs depending on the device. If requested, enter the code 0000. Once a connection has been established successfully, you will hear an acoustic signal. The LED behind the grill will now slowly flash blue. During music playback, the LED will flash more quickly. The connection will be re-established automatically after switching the devices off and back on again (please note: this process can take approx. 10 seconds).
   
   
5. Alternatively, connect the speaker to an audio source using the audio cable (3.5mm).
   
   
6. Use the volume buttons to change the speaker's master volume level by pressing them repeatedly. The buttons control playback and telephone functions. Refer to the table for additional button functions. Please note: this function is only available when connected via Bluetooth ®.

7. If no audio is transmitted for around 30 minutes, the speaker will switch to stand-by mode and the LED will go out. To switch the speaker back on, just press the Play/Pause button. As soon as you notice a drop in performance, recharge the speaker. If you do not intend to use the speaker, simply switch it off ('OFF') to save power.

This product is only intended as a speaker for connecting to a compatible Bluetooth^® or 3.5mm audio source. Jöllenbeck GmbH accepts no liability whatsoever for any injuries or damages caused due to careless, improper or incorrect use of the product or use of the product for purposes not recommended by the manufacturer.

Battery safety

This product is fitted with a lithium polymer battery. Do not damage, open or dismantle the battery and do not use it in damp and/or corrosive conditions. Only use compatible chargers. Do not expose the product to temperatures exceeding 60°C (140°F). Products displaying a crossed-out bin symbol must not be disposed of together with household waste. Used batteries and rechargeables may contain harmful substances which may cause environmental damage or harm your health if not stored or disposed of correctly. As the end user, you are legally obliged to dispose of electrical equipment at the end of its useful life at an official collection point; this also ensures that the integral rechargeable battery is disposed of correctly.

Avoiding hearing damage

PLEASE NOTE: Listening to audio for extended periods at loud volume levels may cause permanent hearing damage, so check the volume level that has been set on the volume control each time before using the product, and avoid listening to audio at a high volume level.

Conformity notice

Operation of the device (the devices) may be affected by strong static, electrical or high-frequency fields (radio installations, mobile telephones, microwaves, electrostatic discharges). If this occurs, try increasing the distance from the devices causing the interference.
