Batteries and Isolators
The craft is equipped with three maintenance free Squadron AGM 160
(12V/160Ah) batteries, located in the front of the engine housing. The batteries are
secured with ratchet straps that should be checked periodically for security.
The batteries are selected for use from the main switch panel on the top box.
The "PORT MAIN BATTERY" isolator switches the Port Battery, used primarily for
powering the port engine and drive. The "SERVICES MAIN BATTERY" isolator switches
the Services Battery which powers all onboard electrics and electronics. The
"STARBOARD MAIN BATTERY" isolator switches the Starboard Battery, used primarily for
powering the starboard engine and drive.
In emergency situations where extra power is needed to either start an engine
or power onboard electrics / electronics the Services Battery can be linked to the Port
and / or Starboard batteries. This should only be used in emergency situations where
one battery does not have sufficient power and the power of another battery is
required. Please note that when a link is turned off it remains linked for ten minutes.
