INSPECTION DETAILS - J. ROAD TEST
CRUISE CONTROL*
a) Check the cruise control functions:
• ON-OFF
• SET
• RES
• CANCEL
b) Check that the preset speed is canceled by:
• Depressing the brake pedal
• Using cancel switch and "ON-OFF" button
For details regarding the operation of cruise control,
refer to the Owner's Manual.
Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System*
c) Press the "ON-OFF" button and check that the indicator
in the instrument cluster comes on and "RADAR
READY" appears on the Multi-Information Display.
(Vehicle-to-vehicle distance control mode)
d) Check that cruise control mode is changed between
vehicle-to-vehicle distance control mode and
conventional (fixed speed) control mode by pressing
the cruise control lever for longer than about 1 second.
(Indicator in the instrument cluster comes on)
e) Check that the vehicle-to-vehicle distance setting is
changed from "Long" to "Medium" to "Short" and then
back to "Long" by pushing the distance switch on the
steering wheel.

clean.
